GWSN Wins New Artist Award At 2018 Seoul Success Awards

The 2018 Seoul Success Awards were held on the afternoon of November 26 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, with awards given out to many people in the fields of politics, economics, and culture.

The Seoul Success Awards is in its 10th year, and the ceremony is hosted by the Seoul Newspaper and STV. It recognizes people in various fields whose creativity and passion has contributed to the development of the nation, society, and culture.

In the culture category, singer So Chan Whee received the Culture Award and was recognized for her powerful vocal talents that have captured the public.

The Artist Award went to singer Son Seung Yeon, who won “The Voice of Korea” in 2012 and has wowed on singing shows such as “Immortal Songs 2” and “The King of Mask Singer.”

Singer Geum Jan Di was given the Traditional Pop Music Award, Yoo Tae Pyeongyang received the Gugak (Korean Traditional Music) Award, tenor Jin Sung Won was given the Vocalist Award (Opera), and Shin Young Sook received the Musical Award.

Girl group GWSN received the New Artist Award. GWSN is a seven-member group under Kiwi Pop, and they made their debut in September with “Puzzle Moon.”

GWSN said, “We’re so happy to receive such a meaningful award; it’s an honor. We want to share this happiness with our fans who support and love us. We’ll remember this for the rest of our lives because it’s the first New Artist award that we’ve received since our debut. We’ll work hard so that we can show you better performances in the future.”
