Highlight's Yong Junhyung Opens Up About The Pressure Of Acting In His First Drama In 5 Years
Highlight’s Yong Junhyung candidly spoke about returning as an actor in his first drama in five years during a press conference for Channel A’s new weekend drama “Coffee, Do Me a Favor.”
When asked how his experience has been so far, Yong Junhyung said, “The fact that it’s my first drama in five years has weighed heavily on me. A lot of thoughts filled my head after making the decision to jump into acting again. I placed a lot of pressure on myself to do better and show something new.”
Yong Junhyung went on to say, “I shared my confused thoughts with our director, and we talked a lot. I think I made it harder for myself because I felt so much pressure, so I tried to talk it out to feel more at ease. It’ll be up to the viewers to determine whether my efforts have reflected positively on my acting, but I think that I was able to believe in myself and do my best. I hope that even if I’m a little lacking, people will watch over me favorably.”
He concluded by stating, “The set always has a comfortable and fun atmosphere, and it’s personally been a great experience for me because I feel like I’ve been able to discover a new side of me. It’s been an opportunity for me to grow. Please give us your love and interest.”
“Coffee, Do Me a Favor” will be a romantic comedy about a ordinary webtoon assistant who drinks a magical brew of coffee and changes her appearance, and a handsome webtoon artist who doesn’t believe in love. The drama will premiere on December 1 at 7:40 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki!
