BTS Fans Donate To Jin's Hometown In Honor Of His Birthday

On December 3, the city of Gwacheon in Gyeonggi Province received 344 sets of feminine hygiene products worth about 6 million won (about $5400) from BTS’s fanclub ARMY.

Gwacheon plans to distribute the products to 86 female students from low-income families through a comprehensive social welfare center in the city. Each student will receive 4 sets designed to last for 10 months.

ARMY had contacted the city of Gwacheon around the end of last month and explained their intention behind the donation to be, “We hope that this donation can convey the sincere and warm heart that Jin shows on a daily basis.” The city of Gwacheon lies near Seoul in the Seoul Capital Area and is Jin’s hometown.

A representative from Gwacheon stated, “This morning a member of the fanclub came to city hall and checked that the products had been delivered, but there was no official donation ceremony.”

Jin will celebrate his 26th birthday (international age; 27th in Korean age) on December 4.
