Block B's Jaehyo Announces Military Enlistment Date

Block B’s Jaehyo has officially announced his plans to enlist in the military.

On December 4, Block B’s agency Seven Seasons confirmed that Jaehyo would be enlisting this month and stated that he would be carrying out his mandatory military service as a public service worker.

The agency wrote in an official statement, “Hello. This is Seven Seasons. We are reporting the news of Block B member Jaehyo’s military enlistment.

“On Thursday, December 20, Block B’s Jaehyo will be entering an army recruit training center and fulfilling his mandatory military duties. After undergoing basic military training, he plans to perform alternative military service for approximately two years as a public service worker.

“[Jaehyo] received the assignment of public service worker due to health reasons, and he plans to diligently carry out his assigned role. Out of respect for his wish to enlist quietly, we do not plan to hold an official send-off event, and we ask for fans’ generous understanding.

“We ask that you warmly cheer on our artist Jaehyo, who will return even more mature after diligently fulfilling his military duties. Thank you.”
