Ha Jung Woo Purchases Building In Seoul Worth 7.3 Billion Won

Actor Ha Jung Woo has purchased a considerable piece of Seoul real estate.

On December 7, sources from the real estate industry reported that Ha Jung Woo purchased a building in the Hwagok-dong neighborhood worth 7.3 billion won (about $6.5 million). The site is 812 square meters (about 8740 square feet) with a total floor area of 461 square meters (about 4962 square feet).

The purchase was made back on July 6, but the balance was reportedly settled on December 3. The actor also reportedly received a loan worth 4.7 billion won (about $4.2 million) from the bank with this new building and his current place of residence, a luxury villa in the Jamwon-dong neighborhood, as collateral.

The newly purchased building completed construction on September 27, 2016 and the Starbucks franchise opened a store there on November 2 of the same year. With a security deposit of 400 million won (about $355,800) and a monthly rent of 24 million won (about $21,350), the rate of return is 4.16 percent.

Ha Jung Woo is, alongside Song Kang Ho, among the top two actors in South Korea with the power of driving domestic box office sales. He is the youngest actor in South Korea to reach the title of “100 million actor,” which refers to selling 100 million tickets at the box office.

His next film to be released will be “Take Point” on December 26.
