BTS Fans Donate To Organization For Victims of Atomic Bomb And Forced Labor

Fans of BTS made a charitable donation to atomic bomb and forced labor victims.

On December 6, the Hapcheon Welfare Center for Atomic Bomb Victims stated that BTS fan club “Run ARMY” had donated 5,442,277 won (approximately $4,840.) The donation was reportedly conducted for 10 days from November 9 to November 18.

“Run ARMY” shared, “When we looked into the social issue of forced labor and the nuclear bombing [in Japan], we found that the victims of the atomic bombing had continued to lead a difficult life decades later. Therefore, we raised our own funds for about 10 days in hopes that the victims who suffered inhumane acts, such as forced labor and the pain of atomic bomb damage, will have a more comfortable life. Although it’s not a big sum, we hope this little sincerity we’ve gathered will be used to heal the wounds of the victims.”

In response, Lee Kyung Joon of the Hapcheon Welfare Center for Atomic Bomb Victims said, “The donation collected in a meaningful way will contribute greatly to the lives of the atomic bomb victims.”

Way to go, ARMY!
