SHINee's Onew Shares His New Military-Ready Haircut + Bids Fans Farewell For Now With Heartfelt Letter
In the hours leading up to his military enlistment, SHINee’s Onew gave fans a special gift.
The idol is set to enlist on December 10. As per his wishes to enter quietly, the location and time will not be revealed and there will be no official sendoff event.
Instead, a little after midnight KST on this day, Onew shared a letter he penned addressed to fans that expresses his thoughts. He also revealed photos of his new buzzcut, as well as a video from when he actually cut his hair.
In his letter, Onew wrote, “Have you been well?
“I will be taking a break for a short while. I am always sorry, and you may feel disappointed, but please think of this short break as a preparatory period for me to show you an improved version of myself.
“More than anything, your health is important. I will pray that everyone will be healthy and happy. I will continue to sing, so please listen to my voice again if you happen to think of me.
“I will return and greet you all again. Thank you so very much. Let’s definitely meet again!
