BTS Goes Double Platinum In Japan With “Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2” In Just One Month

BTS’s latest Japanese single is a certified hit!

Just one month after its release on November 7, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced that BTS’s “Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2” has received an official double platinum certification. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 copies sold, platinum at 250,000, and double platinum at 500,000.

“Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2” also topped the Oricon singles charts in Japan shortly after its release last month. Impressively, the Japanese single managed to sell 327,342 copies in just one day.
