SBS’s “The Last Empress” was the favorite drama of this past Wednesday night!

According to Nielsen Korea, the drama scored its highest viewership ratings yet of 8.2 percent and 11.5 percent during its December 12 broadcast. This is a 1.0 percent increase from its previous highest personal record of 10.5 percent. The broadcast also hit a peak of 12.3 percent in viewership this night, and came in first in its time slot.

MBC’s “Children of Nobody” was second in the same time slot with ratings of 3.9 percent and 5.2 percent while KBS2’s “Feel Good to Die” recorded 2.7 percent and 2.4 percent.

Airing slightly earlier at 9:30 p.m. KST as opposed to 10 p.m. KST, tvN’s “Encounter” brought in a viewership of 8.5 percent, a slight decrease from its December 5 episode. Ratings for cable dramas are also aggregated slightly differently from those on public broadcasting channels.

MBN’s “Love Alert,” another cable drama that airs on Wednesday and Thursday nights, albeit at 11 p.m. KST, recorded 1.9 percent during its December 12 broadcast.
