10 K-Pop Tracks For Your Perfect Winter Holiday Playlist

It often feels like the holidays creep up on us before we realize it, and this year is no exception.

At times like these, there’s no better way to get in the holiday spirit than listening to some wintry tracks. Here are some of many great K-pop songs to add to your playlist this year:

BTOB – “The Winter’s Tale”

Written by members Hyunsik and Ilhoon, “The Winter’s Tale” is a medium tempo track with a sweet and catchy melody. The lyrics wish for the happiness of a past lover while still having feelings for her. BTOB’s choreography for this song is also way adorable…

LABOUM – “Winter Story”

A 64-person orchestra contributed to the rich sounds of the 2016 track “Winter Story” by LABOUM. The lovely voices of the members create a song that will make you feel like you’re in a winter fairytale!

GOT7 – “Miracle”

Contrasting from the more joyful vibe of their previous winter track “Confession Song,” GOT7’s recent song “Miracle” is a sentimental ballad with lyrics about the miraculous moment of fans coming into their lives. The lyrics might make you tear up a bit…

Red Velvet – “Wish Tree”

In 2015, Red Velvet released “Wish Tree” for SM’s “Winter Garden” single project. The members’ sweet voices sing this pop ballad about wishing to always be together with a loved one.

Jo Kwon, Lim Jeong Hee, Joohee, RM, Jungkook – “Perfect Christmas”

BTS’s RM and Jungkook along with former Big Hit artists Lim Jeong Hee, 2AM’s Jo Kwon, and 8eight’s Joohee collaborated for “Perfect Christmas” in 2013. Their diverse vocal colors mesh together perfectly, and the song is further enhanced with RM’s rapping. (Look at cute RM and Jungkook in the music video!)

Zion.T – “Snow” (Feat. Lee Moon Sae)

The unique vocal tones of Zion.T and Lee Moon Sae come together in this popular track from 2017. Perfect to listen to with some hot chocolate on a cold day, the song will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Girls’ Generation-TTS – “Dear Santa”

Girls’ Generation’s unit TTS received much love for their holiday album released in 2015. The title track “Dear Santa” begins like a soulful ballad but has a surprising twist as it transforms into a jolly carol. A winter bop that never gets old!

EXO – “For Life”

EXO has released a special winter album nearly every year since “Miracles in December” in 2013, so the group has blessed us with plenty of holiday gems that could make up an entire playlist on their own. From their 2016 winter album, “For Life” is a beautiful pop ballad with romantic lyrics about only having eyes for one person forever.

TWICE – “Merry & Happy”

From their 2017 repackaged album of the same name, “Merry & Happy” is a joyful carol that lifts holiday spirits. TWICE’s sweet charms are bound to bring a smile to your face.

TVXQ – “Magic Castle”

“Magic Castle” is a legendary Korean ballad that was originally released in 1994 by duo The Classic. TVXQ’s remake from 2004 is a stunning holiday version with gorgeous harmonies and will definitely make long-time K-pop fans nostalgic. (The music video also stars a very young YoonA!)
