BTS Is Only Korean Artist To Make Rolling Stone’s 20 Best Pop Albums of 2018 List
BTS is the only Korean artist included in Rolling Stone’s list of “20 Best Pop Albums of 2018”!
Recently, Rolling Stone published its annual list of the top best pop albums of the year. The list features “ambitious returns from old favorites and groundbreaking debuts from a collection of new artists changing the genre’s look and sound.”
Described as “South Korean boy-band kings,” BTS is at No. 13 on the list with their album “Love Yourself: Tear.” The album impressed the world with its record-breaking sales and showed a creative side by jumping from genre to genre. Rolling Stone labeled this particular album as “the K-pop Appetite for Destruction” and praised the idols for retaining their culture and language while positively influencing global music.
Others on the list are Charlie Puth with “Voicenotes,” Shawn Mendes with “Shawn Mendes,” and Camila Cabello with “Camila.”
BTS recently received awards for Album of the Year (for “Love Yourself: Tear”) and Artist of the Year at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
Congratulations to BTS!
