YouTube Reveals Top 10 K-Pop Music Videos From 2018
On December 19, YouTube released a list of the top 10 most popular K-pop music videos viewed this year.
The data was collected from November 24, 2017 through November 23, 2018.
For the top 10 videos, over 85 percent of views on average are from outside of Korea, demonstrating the presence of Korean idol groups globally.
BLACKPINK topped the list with their music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” which recently reached over 550 million views. BTS took the next three spots with “Fake Love,” “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” and “IDOL.”
MOMOLAND came in fifth with “BBoom BBoom.” TWICE also has three music videos in the top 10, with “Heart Shaker” at No. 6, “What Is Love?” at No. 7, and “Dance the Night Away” at No. 9.
iKON placed eighth with “Love Scenario,” and Red Velvet’s music video for “Bad Boy” came in at No. 9.
