Suzy In Talks To Play Ha Jung Woo's Wife In Upcoming Star-Studded Film

On December 20, it was reported that she has been cast in the film “Mount Baekdu” (literal title) as the wife of Ha Jung Woo‘s character.

In response to the reports, her agency JYP Entertainment commented, “Although it is true that she received the offer, it is one of the projects she is reviewing.”

The upcoming film is about people fighting to prevent the impending eruption of the Baekdu Mountain volcano in North Korea. Lee Byung Hun will play a North Korean agent trying to block the eruption, while Ha Jung Woo has been confirmed to play a South Korean agent. Ma Dong Seok has been cast as a scientist. Jeon Hye Jin is also reported to take on the character of a South Korean government official.

“Mount Baekdu” is produced by Kim Yong Hwa, who is known for hits including both “Along with the Gods” films. It will be directed by Lee Hae Joon of “A Hard Day” and Kim Byung Seo, who also worked on the “Along with the Gods” series. It is scheduled to begin filming in early 2019.
