BLACKPINK Is Only Korean Artist To Make Rolling Stone's 10 Best Music Videos Of 2018 List

BLACKPINK is the only Korean artist included in Rolling Stone’s list of “10 Best Music Videos of 2018”!

The magazine recently published its annual list of the year’s top music videos. This year, BLACKPINK placed No. 8 with their hit track “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”

Rolling Stone praised the “DDU-DU DDU-DU” music video as “a feat of bonkers, maximalist creativity” and compared the girl group’s use of their iconic tank in the music video to the one in Master P’s “Make ‘Em Say Uhh.” The publication also noted that director Seo Hyun Seung, who is responsible for many of YG’s most popular music videos, didn’t hesitate to add his spectacular touch to this music video as well.

The “DDU-DU DDU-DU” music video was recently named the fastest K-pop music video to reach 550 million views and is known for having the highest official 24 hour views ever for a K-pop music video. It also has second highest official 24 hour views among all music videos in YouTube history.

Other music videos to make the list include The Carters’ (Jay-Z and Beyoncé) “Apeshit,” Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” and Drake’s “God’s Plan.”

Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
