Huayi Brothers Forms Strategic Partnership With Chinese Ticketing Platform

Huayi Brothers Korea has formed a strategic partnership with one of China’s largest ticketing platforms.

On December 21, Huayi Brothers Korea stated, “We have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Maoyan Weiying. For the next two years, we will be working with Maoyan Weiying to plan all events in China for experiences like concerts and fan meetings of Korean idol groups and singers.”

Maoyan Weying is an online ticketing service provider in China that provides online entertainment ticketing services, entertainment content services, entertainment e-commerce services, and advertising services.

They also have a partnership with Tencent, who Huayi Brothers Korea also recently signed a content supply contract with. Maoyan Weiying is an official platforms that supports WeChat Wallet and QQ Wallet, and it also provides ticketing services for all events include films, concerts, and sports events. It is also the sole partner of Meituan-Dianping, a Chinese e-commerce platform, for entertainment ticketing services.

A source from Huayi Brothers Korea stated, “Through our partnership with Maoyan, who are based in China and also have a database there, we will be able to more accurately estimate fanbase preferences and demand. This will allow us to provide more successful concerts, fan meetings, and exhibitions, and we are very happy with the decision.”

Huayi Brothers Korea is not only a management company with many top actors, it is also investing in creating content through dramas, albums, and films, and also works in distribution as well.
