2018 SBS Gayo Daejeon Scores Strong Viewership Ratings With Target Audience

SBS’s 2018 SBS Gayo Daejeon was held on December 25 to celebrate some of the finest performers K-pop has to offer, and viewers enjoyed the amazing performances that were on display.

According to data released by Nielsen Korea, viewership ratings for 2018 Gayo Daejeon were at an average of 5.1 percent for the target age group of 2049 (people between the ages of 20 and 49). This made it the most-watched program in the target age group for all programs in its time slot. Not only that, but average viewership ratings rose to 7.4 percent, according to data based in the metropolitan area on the second half of the show.

Real-time ratings for the show peaked at 9.4 percent, and this occurred when WINNER’s Song Mino performed his solo track “Trigger” for the first time ever. He had on a striking yellow outfit and took over the stage with his charismatic presence.

Many stars shined during the show, with artists performing some of their greatest hits and coming together for epic collaborations. The show ran for 210 minutes and featured performances by artists including BTS, EXO, Wanna One, Red Velvet, WINNER, Apink, Sunmi, MONSTA X, NCT, SEVENTEEN, BTOB, TWICE, BLACKPINK, iKON, MAMAMOO, MOMOLAND, GFRIEND, and GOT7.
