WJSN Discusses Emotional First Win On Music Show And New Title Track

On January 8, WJSN held a showcase for their new mini album “W J Stay?”

During their showcase, WJSN talked about their emotional first win with “Save Me, Save You.” At the time, leader Exy was in tears. Exy recalled, “I was very flustered because I didn’t expect it at all. As a leader, I tried to finish my speech well without crying. But as the moments of WJSN and Ujung [fan club name meaning friendship] flashed before my eyes, I couldn’t stop crying.”

Yeonjung shared, “After winning first place, I’ve begun to feel a sense of duty. I prepared this album with more energy. As it was released quickly, I prepared it that much more passionately.”

Concerning their newest title song “La La Love,” Exy commented, “It didn’t feel real. Even though today was our comeback, it felt surreal. But when we did the showcase and performed the first song, I felt really nervous, and it felt more real.”

When Dayoung heard “La La Love” for the first time, she said she thought, “This is it!” She explained, “I thought this song could best show WJSN’s style. I thought it went well with the mysterious and dreamlike image of WJSN.”

Eunseo added, “We worked hard to show a fresh, beautiful, and visually stunning image, [different from our] charismatic and serious image from before. With the intention of doing something different from before, we were nervous and excited preparing this comeback.”

Yeonjung also shared their goal for this comeback. She said, “Our goal is to maintain the interest and love that we received during ‘Save Me, Save You.’ If possible, we’d like to go for a triple crown this time.”

WJSN will be making a comeback on January 8 with “W J Stay?” The group will be promoting with 10 members again while Mei Qi, Xuan Yi, and Cheng Xiao are busy in China.
