Watch: GFRIEND's Sowon, WJSN's Bona, Chungha, And More Put Dance And Rap Skills To The Test On "Idol Room"

On January 8, JTBC’s “Idol Room” held a party for five ’95-liner idols!

The guests included GFRIEND’s Sowon, WJSN’s Bona, Bolbbagan4’s Ahn Ji Young, Oh My Girl’s YooA, and Chungha. The girls only knew Chungha, who was actually born in 1996, and were awkward with each other at first. Sowon said, “The only person I know here is Chungha,” and Chungha explained, “When I was in I.O.I, we had a group chat with GFRIEND called ‘G.I.’ We hang out and are close to each other.”

Ahn Ji Young, who was on a show with girl group members for the first time, shared, “It’s amazing and nice, but I don’t know how to react. It’s awkward,” making the hosts and guests laugh with her innocent confession.

Following, the MCs and guests started “Project: Become Friendly with Ahn Ji Young,” for which the girls had to hold hands while giving words of blessings to each other, which ended up being an awkward situation for both the speaker and the observer. Jung Hyung Don and Defconn were laughing at the members, who were struggling to get through the uncomfortable situation.

While discussing Chungha’s new song “Gotta Go,” Jung Hyung Don mentioned the topic of curfews. Chungha said she has no curfew, while YooA shared that she had one before at 11:30. Hearing that, Sowon commented, “11:30? Isn’t that morning?” and Jung Hyung Don playfully warned, “Sowon, you’re here as a representative of GFRIEND. Umji is watching.”

After that, Ahn Ji Young sang her own version of Chungha’s “Rollercoaster” while Chungha and YooA danced to it. The dance party continued as the girls danced to Camila Cabello’s “Havana” in their own styles. YooA chose Chungha as her dancing rival, and Chungha covered EXO’s “Love Shot,” drawing admiration from the hosts and guests.

During the episode, a video of Sowon on a runway at 2018 Seoul Fashion Week was revealed. Sowon was embarrassed, but the other idols praised her, saying, “You really seem like a model,” and “Your legs are so pretty.”

The ’95-liner idols also made complaints in a free-style rap battle. First, Ahn Ji Young confessed, “After coming back from my trip, I was set to appear on ‘Idol Room.’ I had no time to practice dance, and I’m still jet-lagged.” Then Bona made everyone burst into laughter when she said, “I didn’t even go on a trip, so why did I hear about this yesterday? What was worse, I heard it from Chungha.” YooA protested her 11:30 curfew, while Sowon confessed, “I knew I was going to be on the show, and I got the script, too, but I failed to prepare.”
