Watch: “YG Treasure Box” To Eliminate All But 11 Contestants In Next Episode; Unveils Tearful Preview Of Eliminations
As “YG Treasure Box” gears up for its final mission, its contestants will face a brutal round of eliminations on the show’s next episode.
On January 11, the YG Entertainment survival show released a new preview of its upcoming episode, in which Yang Hyun Suk surprises the trainees by making a startling announcement. The YG Entertainment founder tells the 20 remaining contestants, “Out of the 20 trainees, nine will be eliminated.”
The trainees then learn that only 11 of them will make it to the final round. On the last episode, the 20 contestants split up into four teams of five, and they were told that after going head-to-head in a performance battle, all five members of the winning team would automatically be given the chance to compete in the final round.
In the new preview, the trainees express their shock as they learn that only three members of the second-place team, two members of the third-place team, and one member of the fourth-place team will also survive to compete in the final round—leaving nine contestants to be eliminated.
The clip then shows Yang Hyun Suk preparing to announce the final survivor of the semifinal round, saying, “You’ve all worked hard.” After the show, the trainees burst into tears as they embrace each other and emotionally say their goodbyes.
The next episode of “YG Treasure Box” will air on January 11 at 10 p.m. KST on Naver’s V Live, and it will also air two hours later at midnight on both YouTube and JTBC2.
