5 Chilling Lines By Kwak Dong Yeon As The Antagonist Of “My Strange Hero”

Who would have known Kwak Dong Yeon could play such a formidable villain?

In SBS’s “My Strange Hero,” Kwak Dong Yeon plays Oh Se Ho, the chairman of Sulsong High School’s board of directors. On the outside, he seems like a gentleman, but on the inside, he is filled with pain about his mother Im Se Kyung (Kim Yeo Jin) and a sense of inferiority compared to Kang Bok Soo (Yoo Seung Ho). His jealousy about Kang Bok Soo’s mother Lee Jeong Soon (Kim Mi Kyung) and the love triangle between him, Son Soo Jung (Jo Bo Ah), and Kang Bok Soo add fuel to his unforgiving rage and make him more brutal with every passing episode.

Here are some of the most charismatic and chilling lines by Kwak Dong Yeon in “My Strange Hero.”

1. “Aren’t I the one with the right to forgive? I’m clearly the victim.”

On episode 4, Kang Bok Soo angrily grabs Oh Se Ho by the collar and yells that he regrets forgiving Oh Se Ho for putting the blame on him nine years ago. In response, Oh Se Ho says these lines even though he is not the actual victim.

2. “You two will be having a hard time from now on.”

On episode 16, Oh Se Ho confesses to Son Soo Jung, but she declines because of her feelings for Kang Bok Soo. He then says these words with a cold expression on his face.

3. “Don’t you dare do anything to her. I won’t ask for your help. If I can’t have her, I’ll break her myself.”

On episode 16, Oh Se Ho’s mother Im Se Kyung finds out about his feelings towards Son Soo Jung and tells him, “You really want that petty girl?” For the first time, he rebels against her with these lines.

4. “You two will never be happy together.”

Bringing up Kang Bok Soo and Son Soo Jung’s forbidden relationship as student and teacher, he threatens Kang Bok Soo on episode 16. When Kang Bok Soo states that he will never break up with Son Soo Jung because he did nothing wrong, Oh Se Ho responds with these words.

5. “You should keep in mind that the more you do this, the more I want to get rid of Kang Bok Soo.”

On episode 18, Kang Bok Soo’s class win a debate competition, but Oh Se Ho reverses the decision and announces another class as the winner. When Son Soo Jung protests against these results and tells Oh Se Ho to leave Kang Bok Soo and his classmates alone, he replies with these lines.
