Kim Shin Young Reveals Touching Story Of How Yoo Jae Suk Helped Her Continue Her Career

Kim Shin Young thanked Yoo Jae Suk for his words of support.

On January 13, the cast of JTBC’s “Cool Kids” took time to express gratitude for one another under dimmed lights.

Kim Shin Young spoke about the time she felt grateful to Yoo Jae Suk in 2008. “When I was Seulgi’s age, I was a fixed cast member for the first time on the talk show ‘Come to Play,'” began the comedienne. “I couldn’t say a single word and couldn’t join in on the conversation. I was in a deep sense of shame and thought, ‘Is this all I can do?'”

She continued, “Yoo Jae Suk said to me, ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t take good care of you. I’m sure your heart will be hurt if you go back without being able to say a single thing. I’ll look out for you starting next week.’ Those words reversed my thinking that I would never appear on variety shows again.”

“Cool Kids” is a variety show where adults meet with kids and see what they’re into these days. The show airs on Sundays at 10:50 p.m. KST on JTBC.
