Yang Hyun Suk Hints At Exciting Plans For BLACKPINK In 2019
It looks like there are many exciting things ahead for BLACKPINK and BLINKs this year!
On January 23, YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk posted a photo to his Instagram account with the caption, “Had a great time in Los Angeles meeting with Universal Music Group Chairman, Lucian Grainge and Interscope Records Chairman, John Janick.” He also added, “All of you can expect many great things to happen for BLACKPINK in 2019.”
It was announced in October 2018 that BLACKPINK had officially signed with Interscope Records, a label under Universal Music Group. At the time of the announcement, both Lucian Grainge and John Janick expressed their excitement to be working with BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK is already off to a great year, as it was announced earlier this month that they will perform at U.S. music festival Coachella in April. Their music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” recently became the fastest K-pop group music video to reach 600 million views on YouTube as well.
