Son Dam Bi Tells Hilarious Story Of How Kwanghee Changed After Joining "Infinite Challenge"

Son Dam Bi and ZE:A’s Kwanghee spoke about their close friendship on JTBC’s “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.”

On the January 28 broadcast, host Kim Sung Joo asked how long the two guests have known each other.

Son Dam Bi answered, “I think it’s been about six or seven years. It’s been a long time. Kwanghee is softhearted and comes out immediately when I call.” She then joked, “But when he appeared on ‘Infinite Challenge,’ I gave him a lot of grief because he was being so careful.”

Kwanghee explained, “It was because I was acting as if I were a public servant” and Son Dam Bi added, “[I asked him,] ‘Are you Yoo Jae Suk?'”

“He was taking care of his image so much,” she continued. “When I called him, he would be taking care of himself and going to bed early. He wouldn’t meet up with us but would go to see Yoo Jae Suk. All he’d do is talk about and praise Yoo Jae Suk every day.”

Kwanghee said, “After I became a fixed cast member on ‘Infinite Challenge,’ it felt as if I should be more careful and as if I became someone who’s great.”

Host Ahn Jung Hwan then shared a story about filming with Kwanghee and Yoo Jae Suk. “He acts the same as Yoo Jae Suk!” said Ahn Jung Hwan. “He walked around greeting everyone and cleaning up. I thought he was running for elections.”

Host Kim Sung Joo revealed that during her pre-interview, Son Dam Bi said that Kwanghee is so proud to be a celebrity. She explained, “He tells everyone that he’s Hwang Kwanghee and says hello to everyone.”

In contrast with himself, said Kwanghee, “Son Dam Bi will come out with her face swollen and without washing her hair. She comes out after just waking up and says that she was drinking. She’s really chill. She’s pretty even without makeup, but it’s full makeup for me.”

He said that he puts on makeup at home and puts on shoulder pads before heading out. After confessing that he was wearing shoulder pads on the show, Kwanghee stated, “I’m so proud of myself. I didn’t get good grades and wasn’t good looking, but I’m on ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.’ I’m so thankful and grateful for everything.”
