SEVENTEEN Breaks Their Own 1st-Week Sales Record + Tops Oricon Weekly Chart For 1st Time With “You Made My Dawn”
SEVENTEEN’s latest release is making waves both in Korea and abroad!
On January 29, Japanese music chart Oricon announced that SEVENTEEN had topped its weekly album chart for the very first time. According to Oricon, the group’s sixth mini album “You Made My Dawn“—which was released in Japan on January 23—debuted at No. 1 on the chart after selling an impressive 47,000 copies in Japan alone within the first four days of its release.
Pledis Entertainment confirmed, “SEVENTEEN has reached No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album rankings for the first time since their debut. This album, which has demonstrated [SEVENTEEN’s] unending growth, has stretched beyond Korea to set a new record in Japan.”
The agency also officially announced, “This album sold over 330,000 copies in the first week of its release, setting a new personal [first-week sales] record for SEVENTEEN.”
