GFRIEND Talks About Their High School Graduations + Umji And SinB Recall Wearing Wigs

On the January 30 broadcast of SBS Love FM’s “Kim Chang Ryul’s Old School,” GFRIEND appeared as guests to promote their latest title track “Sunrise.”

During the broadcast, one listener asked the group about their feelings on graduating high school. Sowon responded, “I liked not going to school anymore.”

Yerin in turn proudly answered, “I saw all of our members graduating from high school.” Hearing this, Sowon added, “I also have something I’m proud of. Everyone went to the same high school except me. That’s why I ended up going to that high school five times. That school’s vice principal told me, ‘We should give you an honorary diploma from our high school.'”

Umji revealed, “I graduated with SinB, but we wore wigs to our graduation. During that time, we were about to release ‘Fingertip.’ I had dyed my hair an extreme color for our concept, and our company didn’t want to reveal it yet, so we wore wigs to a couple of events and to the graduation.” SinB commented, “It was a spectacle. My friend saw me after a long time and told me, ‘What’s wrong with you.'”

Yerin stated, “I saw those graduation photos again recently and it was so funny.”
