Idols Vote On Who They Think Is Most Beautiful, Who They'd Like To Collaborate With, And Who Will Hit It Big In 2019

As part of their annual Lunar New Year special, Korean media outlet Ilgan Sports held a survey among 19 idol teams (141 members in total).

In the survey, the idols voted on who they thought was most beautiful, who had the hottest body, who they wanted to collaborate with, and more.

The teams that responded to the survey included GOT7, NU’EST, MAMAMOO, MOMOLAND, MONSTA X, BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, iKON, IZ*ONE, Wanna One, GFRIEND, IMFACT, Chungha, Cherry Bullet, TWICE, and SF9.

Most Beautiful (male):

1. ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo (14 votes)
2. BTS’s V (9 votes)
3. NU’EST’s Minhyun (8 votes)
4. GOT7’s Jinyoung (6 votes)
5. MONSTA X’s Hyungwon (4 votes)

For the question about who they most wanted to befriend, many idols chose to leave this question blank. Therefore, there are not as many votes in this category. Some idols wrote a specific idol rather than a group and these votes were counted as part of their group’s overall vote.

When asked who they would like to collaborate with, the answers ranged from solo artists (Chungha had the most votes and IU was also a popular choice) to other groups (SEVENTEEN and MAMAMOO tied for second in amount of votes) to collaborations formed for specific age groups and genres.

For example, the ’96 line (Red Velvet’s Joy, Apink’s Hayoung, GFRIEND’s Yerin) and ’97 line (BTS’s Jungkook, GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, The8, and DK, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, NCT’s Jaehyun) were popular choices.

TWICE’s Momo, (G)I-DLE’s Soojin, Chungha, and IZ*ONE’s Lee Chaeyeon were picked to be the female dance team that other idols would most like to collaborate with, while BTS’s J-Hope, EXO’s Kai, and MONSTA X’s Shownu were picked as the male dance team. For hip-hop, people chose BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, GOT7’s Jackson and BamBam, Block B’s Zico, and MONSTA X’s Jooheon for the male team, and (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon and Loco as a duo.

There were some unexpected answers like Dua Lipa, Park Seo Joon, Celeb Five, and various mixed-sex group combinations.
