Mega Monster Rookies: 5 Reasons Why ITZY Is Already Taking The World By Storm

At long last, one of this year’s most highly anticipated rookie groups has debuted! ITZY, for anyone who doesn’t know, is a five-member girl group under JYP Entertainment; Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna are the lovely ladies who have just rocked the K-pop world anew.

But why, exactly, has ITZY been hyped up so much? What makes them so exciting? Well, friends, this gorgeous article will inform you of the reasons why ITZY is everything you need in life and more. Prepare to be amazed (if you somehow aren’t already).

1. They’re the first JYP girl group since TWICE

When you sit down and think about it, JYP’s girl groups are all pretty legendary. Wonder Girls, miss A, and TWICE have set the stage for what’s to come, but ITZY isn’t going down without a fight! In time, I have no doubt that they’ll become legends themselves. Check out the clip below to see some wholesome pre-debut content of the girls, courtesy of the “Stray Kids” reality show.

2. We love girl crushes galore

Let me just say it now: I hope 2019 is the year for girl crush concepts. How can you not love a group of badass ladies who aren’t afraid to show their worth? I, for one, think that ITZY is going to own their girl crush image with as much confidence and swag as they’ve shown thus far. I can hardly wait to see what they have in store for us!

3. “DALLA DALLA” is a straight-up bop

As far as debut tracks go, “DALLA DALLA” is about as lit as they come. That beat knocked the socks off everyone who was blessed enough to hear it, and I have absolutely no complaints. When ITZY comes out with their first full album, you can bet it’ll be life-changing.

4. Their choreo is fire

We can already see how the “DALLA DALLA” choreography is on another level! Not only are they getting low and killing that floorwork, but the point dance looks super catchy. Um, can we get a dance practice ASAP?

5. The members are powerhouses of talent

Surprise surprise, several of the ITZY girls had already shown their talents to the public before debut! Chaeryeong appeared on both “K-Pop Star 3” and “Sixteen,” Ryujin became the female winner of “MIXNINE” and acted in BTS’s “LOVE YOURSELF Highlight Reel,” and Yeji showed her stuff on “The Fan.” Needless to say, their skills speak for themselves.
