Heo Ji Woong is continuing to focus on recovering his health.
On February 10, Heo Ji Woong shared a selfie of him wearing a mask along with a message to his fans. He wrote, “On my way to be admitted into the hospital to receive chemotherapy. Thanks to all of you, I’m enduring it well. I made a home gym and carefully began exercising again. I also read the stories all of you sent me. I asked myself if I had lived a good enough life to hear these kinds of stories, and felt embarrassed. I won’t forget a single one and buried them deep within my heart. Thank you. I’ll overcome this. Happy new year.”
In December 2018, Heo Ji Woong revealed that he was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma after experiencing symptoms such as lethargy and swelling. His agency followed up with a statement that the writer and TV personality would be halting promotions to focus on chemotherapy and recovery.
