WJSN Thanks Their Fans And Shares Their Feelings About 3rd Debut Anniversary

On February 25, WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) celebrated their 3rd debut anniversary!

“We still can’t forget that day on February 25, 2016, when we held each other’s hands and went up on our first debut stage,” the group shared. “But it’s already been three years since then.”

They added, “We want to thank all the members, who trusted and supported each other for three years, and thank Ujung [fanclub name] for giving us so much love. We came all this way with the wish that we can give hope to people who listen to our music. In the future, we will continue to make music with WJSN’s unique charm and we look forward to your love and support.”

WJSN was recently chosen as one of the top artists with the most global fans on V Live, ending up in the 2019 Global V Live Top 10. To celebrate their anniversary, they held a V Live broadcast of their 2019 Global V Live Top 10 party, “re:memVer.”

At the party, WJSN said, “It’s our third debut anniversary today. It feels like we’re doing a mini fan meeting right now. This is all thanks to Ujung and we wanted to express that gratitude. Because they have sent us such warm love, we were able to share this meaningful stage with them. It’s very meaningful to celebrate our third debut anniversary with our fans.”

The members added, “Time goes by really fast. We did a V Live for our second anniversary, but we’re proud to think we could do such a big V Live production for our third anniversary.”

About being a Top 10 Global V Live artist, WJSN said, “We’ve showcased a lot of content through V Live and we’re happy that people like it. We will work hard to get recognized through new content in the future.” After receiving their trophies, they said, “It really feels like we’re getting a birthday present. The trophies have some weight to them. They prove that we’ve been working hard for the past three years. We’re especially grateful because this trophy was given to us by Ujung.”

WJSN made their debut in 2016 with the EP “Would You Like?” and the title track “Mo Mo Mo.” In 2017, they added a 13th member, Yeonjung, who had previously represented Starship Entertainment on “Produce 101” and debuted in the project group I.O.I. WJSN has won the Rising Star Award at the 2016 Asia Artist Awards, the EPK Discovery Award at the 2017 Seoul Music Awards, the New Wave Award at the 2018 Asia Artist Awards, and took their first music show win with “Save Me, Save You” in 2018.

Several of the WJSN members have branched out into solo activities as well, with Bona making her debut in acting, Exy and Dawon participating in the production of their album, and Luda, Eunseo, Dayoung, and Cheng Xiao making frequent variety appearances.
