Former SECHSKIES Member Kang Sung Hoon And His Girlfriend Forwarded To Prosecution For Assault And Trespassing

On February 27, Gangdong Police Station revealed, “We have forwarded Kang Sung Hoon to the prosecution on January 17.” According to the police station, the singer was charged with assault and trespassing.

The charges occurred last September. At the time, it was reported that Kang Sung Hoon and his girlfriend visited the home of Mr. Kim, who is Kang Sung Hoon’s former manager, and repeatedly asked to meet with him. When Mr. Kim refused and got in a taxi with his brother, the singer blocked the taxi with his car and demanded that Mr. Kim and his brother get out of the vehicle.

When Mr. Kim and his brother kept refusing, Kang Sung Hoon snatched a phone from Mr. Kim’s brother and said, “Get out of the car and talk to me.” The police stated that they also forwarded Kang Sung Hoon’s girlfriend to prosecution on charges of aiding assault and trespassing.

Mr. Kim is also said to be the main testifier for the Kang Sung Hoon’s fraud case, where fans accused and filed a lawsuit against Kang Sung Hoon and his fan club Hoony World of embezzling the profits made from an event celebrating SECHSKIES’ 20-year debut anniversary on April 15, 2017.

Following a series of controversies, Kang Sung Hoon announced his decision to leave SECHSKIES and YG Entertainment on January 1, 2019. It was also recently revealed that the singer is currently married to his girlfriend, who was also the owner of Hoony World, under common law.

Currently, the singer is denying all allegations made against him.
