Camera Director Injured On Set Of New Survival Show
A staff member was revealed to have been injured during the filming of TV Chosun’s new variety show “Miss Trot.”
On February 27, a source from “Miss Trot” stated, “While preparing for the filming of ‘Miss Trot’ on February 18, a camera director climbed on top of the set to place a 5D camera on it. The camera director lost his footing and suffered a [spinal] fracture. Due to the fractures on his second and fifth vertebrae, he underwent surgery the same day and is now recovering without any other problems.”
They continued, “TV Chosun is currently doing its best to help the camera director recover. In the future, TV Chosun will pay special attention to the safety of the production team to prevent similar accidents from happening again.”
According to industry sources, a staff member from an outsourced camera team fell down while filming on a foothold of about five meters high. The staff member successfully completed the surgery and must now undergo rehabilitation treatment for at least a year.
“Miss Trot” is an audition program to discover the next generation of trot stars to lead the second prime time of trot. The show premieres on February 28 at 10 p.m. KST.
