IZ*ONE Goes Platinum In Japan With Debut Single
IZ*ONE’s Japanese debut single is a certified hit!
Just one month after its release on February 6, IZ*ONE’s Japanese debut single “Suki to Iwasetai” has received an official platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) after selling over 250,000 copies.
According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 copies and platinum at 250,000 copies in sales.
IZ*ONE’s “Suki to Iwasetai” previously broke the record for the highest first-day sales achieved by a K-pop girl group single released in Japan, in addition to topping several J-pop music charts shortly after its release.
