"Produce X 101" Announces Runway Show To Introduce Trainees Ahead Of Premiere

“Produce X 101” will be previewing its contestants in a new way!

The Mnet survival show has announced a runway show on March 20 that is described as “a place where you can meet the trainees for the first time!”

Mnet explained that the event will be open to 630 people on a first-come-first-serve basis. It will be held on March 20 at 8 p.m. KST, and applications can be made through a form that will be uploaded on the show’s social media accounts on March 13 at 8 p.m. KST.

The event description for the runway show clarifies that photos will be allowed, and it encourages the “national producers” to not miss the chance to capture the trainee’s moments in their hearts (or photo albums).

It was recently announced that unlike prior seasons of the “Produce 101” series, viewers will be taking part in deciding the contestant who will take the “center” position for the theme song performance. Voting will open on March 15, and candidates for the position will be revealed before then.

“Produce X 101” will be hosted by Lee Dong Wook and it began filming on March 4. An exact premiere date has not been set, but it’s planned to start airing in the first half of the year.
