BLACKPINK’s YouTube Channel Surpasses Momentous Milestone Of 20 Million Subscribers
BLACKPINK has reached an amazing milestone with their YouTube channel!
On March 23, YG Entertainment shared that BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 20 million subscribers. Their channel has been growing rapidly, reflecting their continuously growing popularity, doubling its subscriber count in less than a year as they celebrated receiving the diamond creator award for 10 million subscribers in August 2018.
YG Entertainment stated, “YouTube subscriber counts are one of the objective ways to see a group’s popularity and recognition overseas. BLACKPINK was able to gain an additional 10 million subscribers in approximately eight months, showing their global influence.
According to Billboard, BLACKPINK is the first K-pop artist channel to reach the 20 million subscriber mark, making them one of just 20 artists to ever reach the milestone. Different agencies operate YouTube channels in different ways, with some uploading content for all artists under one channel while others dedicate separate channels for each of their artists. For K-pop agency channels, ibighit, the official channel for Big Hit Entertainment artists such as BTS and TXT, holds the record and currently sits at 22 million subscribers.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK on the amazing achievement!
