Jung Il Woo Is Resolute And Alone Under The Rain In "Haechi"

Jung Il Woo undergoes trials and tribulations like no other for “Haechi.”

“Haechi” follows the story of Prince Yeoning (played by Jung Il Woo), born of a mother with low status, who takes on the challenge of claiming the throne. Accompanying him on his journey are a royal inspector, a street clown, and female detective.

In the released photos, Jung Il Woo sits alone in the middle of the palace, kneeling. Robed in only simple white clothing with his headpieces marking his status and his shoes placed on the floor beside him, he resolutely braves the pouring rain.Previously, chaos ensued within the palace when Prince Milpoong (played by Jung Moon Sung) used heated public sentiment against Prince Yeoning and incited the nobles to request the king’s brother to take over the king’s duties. Afterwards, Prince Yeoning was suspected of treason.

The production staff stated, “Jung Il Woo, who has enemies surrounding him on every side, has been aroused through his kneeling repentance. It will be revealed how Kyung Jong (played by Han Seung Hyun) will react to Jung Il Woo’s actions, how Prince Milpoong will come with another scheme, and how Jung Il Woo will confront him.”

“Haechi” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST.
