"SKY Castle" Actress Kim Hye Yoon Considering Offer To Star In New Drama Based On Webtoon

Kim Hye Yoon from JTBC’s “SKY Castle” may be returning with a new drama soon!

On March 27, a source from the drama industry stated to Sports Ilgan that Kim Hye Yoon will play the female lead Yoon Dan Oh in “July Found By Chance” (literal title).

Following the news, a source from Kim Hye Yoon’s agency Sidus HQ clarified, “MBC’s new drama ‘July Found By Chance’ is one of the dramas she received an offer to star in.”

Kim Hye Yoon made herself known to the public through hit drama “SKY Castle,” where she played the character Ye Seo.

The new drama she was offered, “July Found By Chance,” is based on a fantasy school romance webtoon of the same title. It tells the story of Yoon Dan Oh, a girl who realizes that she is an extra in the webtoon and goes against the story to win over the heart of her love interest. Yoon Dan Oh is the only child in a wealthy family, but she was born with a weak heart and had to live cautiously her whole life. One day, she falls in love with a boy who is also an extra in the story.

“July Found By Chance” will be directed by producing director (PD) Kim Sang Hyup, who previously worked on “The King Loves” and “Glamorous Temptation.” It will air in September as the follow-up to upcoming drama “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” (literal title) starring Shin Se Kyung, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Lee Ji Hoon, and more.
