Female Rapper Leaves Audience In Awe Of Her Strong Vocals On “The King Of Mask Singer”
The audience was in for a surprise when the identity of Sun-And-Wind was revealed on “The King of Mask Singer”!
On the March 31 episode of the MBC singing competition, The Three Little Pigs and Sun-And-Wind sang a duet to Noel’s “Proposal” during the first round.
The Three Little Pigs won the round with a different of just three votes, and Sun-And-Wind stayed on stage to perform Kim Gun Mo‘s “Scarecrow” and take off her mask.
The husky and powerful vocals behind Sun-And-Wind turned out to belong to rapper and “Unpretty Rapstar 3” winner Giant Pink!
Giant Pink commented, “Kim Gun Mo’s ‘Scarecrow’ is my favorite karaoke song, so I chose it. I have a karaoke ‘family’: I often go to karaoke together with Nam Tae Hyun, Park Bo Ram, and EXID’s Hyerin. When I sang ‘Scarecrow,’ they praised me by saying that I was good at singing and advised me to sing this song on ‘The King of Mask Singer.'”
She continued, “I’m sad that I lost by three votes, but The Three Little Pigs is really good at singing. I think he’s a singer. Even his breathing technique is extraordinary.”
The rapper added, “I frequently sing in front of my mom. She hoped that I would appear on ‘The King of Mask Singer.’ I’m glad that I was finally able to perform on this stage.”
After the broadcast, Giant Pink shared selfies of herself with her mask backstage. She wrote, “‘The King of Mask Singer.’ Sun-And-Wind was Giant Pink! It was such a joyful time… The Three Little Pigs was amazing. I wonder who it is…”
