Lee Chul Woo's Agency Responds To Rumors Of Involvement In Chatroom With Jung Joon Young

Lee Chul Woo’s agency released an official statement regarding reports of the model participating in a group chat with Jung Joon Young.

On March 28, it was reported that another chatroom with Jung Joon Young included two other singers and a model, who were rumored to be cast members of the JTBC show “Hitmaker.”

The April 2 episode of “Night of Real Entertainment” mentioned these names to be Kangin, Jeong Jinwoon, and Lee Chul Woo.

On April 3, Lee Chul Woo’s agency ESteem issued the following statement in response to these reports:

Regarding the current reports from some media outlets surrounding suspicions of Lee Chul Woo’s involvement in Jung Joon Young’s chatroom, we want to clearly state that Lee Chul Woo was not included in any chatroom that issues are being raised about.

Lee Chul Woo himself has not filmed or shared illegal hidden camera footage. Additionally, he has not been contacted by any related [investigative] agency in regards to this. Three years ago in 2016, during the filming of JTBC’s variety show “Hitmaker,” Lee Chul Woo and Jung Joon Young were part of a chatroom made for the purpose of sharing schedules with all of the cast and staff of the program. However, the chatroom was deleted after the conclusion of the show.

We respectfully request that [media outlets] refrain from speculative reports completely unrelated to the truth.

Previously, Kangin’s agency stated that Kangin also was only part of the chatroom for the show, while Jeong Jinwoon’s agency is currently unable to provide a full response due to the star currently serving in the military.
