Park Jin Hee's Agency Responds To Reports Of Her And Her Husband's Ties To Man Facing Embezzlement Charges

Park Jin Hee’s agency has responded to reports of the actress and her husband’s ties to a defendant currently on trial over embezzlement charges.

On April 5, news outlet OSEN reported that Park Jin Hee had participated as a host in appointment ceremonies held by an association in January 2018 and February 2019. Although there is no problem for celebrities to attend various events with payment, “A,” who had been sworn in as president during the ceremonies, is now reportedly standing trial on charges of embezzlement in connection with local development projects. Realizing this, various insiders began to tip off the media about Park Jin Hee’s involvement in the events, and suspicions were raised as Park Jin Hee’s husband is an incumbent judge.

In response to this report, Park Jin Hee’s agency Elefun Entertainment stated, “This is something completely unrelated to her husband.”

The agency added, “Because we wanted to know if Park Jin Hee’s husband was involved in the incident regarding ‘A,’ we asked her husband ourselves. He responded that he had nothing to do with the incident. Park Jin Hee’s husband transferred from a Suncheon branch to the Gwangju District Court in February 2018, and the trial began in April of the same year, so they are completely unrelated.”

Elefun Entertainment then explained Park Jin Hee’s attendance at the event, stating, “She participated in the event because she was contacted by the agency, and other singers were there as well. She was paid a fee she usually receives, and she proceeded with the event.”
