BLACKPINK, BOL4, And Shaun Officially Certified Platinum By Gaon

BLACKPINK, BOL4 (Bolbbalgan4), and Shaun have all officially gone platinum!

Last year, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a brand-new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.

On April 11, Gaon Chart announced that BLACKPINK’s hit song “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” which previously received a platinum certification in the streaming category after surpassing 100 million streams last November, had now also received a platinum certification in the download category after reaching 100 million downloads.

Similarly, BOL4’s “Travel” and Shaun’s “Way Back Home” also received official platinum certifications in the download category after previously receiving platinum certifications in the streaming category last year.
