Lee Chung Ah talked about how she felt when false rumors tying her to Jung Joon Young’s chatroom surfaced.
On April 16, during an interview about her upcoming film “Again, Spring” (literal title), Lee Chung Ah talked about requesting an investigation on the people who first published and spread the rumors connecting her to Jung Joon Young’s case. There had been rumors that she was one of the women mentioned in the group chatroom including Jung Joon Young and other celebrities.
She said, “I’ve put in a request, and I have not heard from the police yet,” adding that she would be waiting for the results. She continued, “There will be no leniency. I thought I was going to faint after seeing the first post. What I saw were the posts in the middle, but the first post was too mean,” revealing that she received much shock from the rumors.
On March 15, Lee Chung Ah’s agency Kings Entertainment stated, “We can no longer overlook those who used their online anonymity to expand and reproduce rumors based on unfounded speculation to damage Lee Chung Ah’s image, reputation, and character as an actress,” revealing that they filed a request for an investigation against those who wrote and circulated malicious rumors regarding the actress.
Meanwhile, Lee Chung Ah will be playing the lead in the time travel film “Again, Spring.” The film is about Eun Jo, a woman who loses her daughter and makes a crucial decision that takes her past the point of no return. She begins living a life where time flows backwards a day at a time, giving her a second chance at life. The film is based on a webtoon of the same name. “Again, Spring” will premiere April 17.
