BTS's Jimin Shares His Thoughts About Performing On

BTS’s Jimin shared what it was like to make an appearance on NBC’s late-night sketch show “Saturday Night Live” (SNL)!

The group held a press conference on April 17 to commemorate the release of their new album “Map of the Soul : Persona.” During the press conference, they were asked what they wanted people who saw them for the first time to know about them. Jimin remarked, “First, I’d like to thank everyone who allowed us to appear on ‘SNL.'”

On April 13, BTS showed their first-ever performance of “Boy With Luv” on “SNL,” as well as a performance of the remix version of “MIC Drop.”

Jimin answered, “Though we use different languages, I would like for them to know about the sincerity in our music, which we tried to show through our performance. I hope they know that BTS is a group that is great at performing on stage.”

He added, “Our first comeback performances [for previous albums] were at a comeback showcase for ‘DNA,’ the Billboard Music Awards for ‘Fake Love,’ and our ‘Love Yourself’ concert tour at the Jamsil Stadium for ‘IDOL.’ We think very significantly of our first performance for a new album, so both our agency and group think a lot about how we can show a great performance. Thankfully, a great opportunity came to us, and so we chose ‘SNL’ without hesitation. Of course, it was a place where many artists had performed, so we were really nervous, but we were able to have fun while performing because many people cheered us on.”
