Oh My Girl Reveals The Concept They Want To Try Next + The Concept They Think Wouldn't Suit Them

In a recent interview and pictorial for @star1 magazine, Oh My Girl talked about their upcoming comeback and their hopes for the future.

Oh My Girl, who recently announced that they are aiming to make a comeback sometime in early May, expressed confidence about their new title track and its choreography.

The girl group proudly referred to their nickname “concept fairies”—a title they earned after taking on a diverse array of concepts in the past—as they declared, “We’ll show you something that suits the nickname ‘concept fairies.’ The choreography [for our new song] is pretty, so the performance is entertaining and fun to watch.”

They added with a smile, “We want to achieve a triple crown on music shows with our new song.”

When asked about their preparations for their upcoming comeback, Oh My Girl responded, “We don’t get that stressed about dieting. When we first debuted, we still had baby fat, so we did get stressed [back then], and we tried any diet that we heard was effective. But after a lot of trial and error, we figured out the most effective ways to take care of ourselves, and we’re currently very healthy.”

As for which concepts they’d like to try in the future, Oh My Girl shared, “We’ve taken on a wide variety of concepts up until now, but they usually had a dreamy or mysterious vibe. We want to try making a transformation that is unmistakably retro.”

They went on, “Although we want to try making a lot of different types of transformations, we don’t think a sexy concept suits Oh My Girl.”

“There are a lot of different images of a girl that we can express,” the members continued. “A strong girl, a bright and cheerful girl, a quiet girl; there are many different [concepts]. We want to take a broad view and broaden Oh My Girl’s spectrum [of concepts]. As time passes, we’ll become a group that expresses girls’ feelings in a way that suits our age [at the time].”
