Singer Park Ji Yoon And Kakao's Co-CEO Jo Soo Yong Revealed To Have Tied The Knot

Park Ji Yoon has gotten married to Kakao’s co-CEO Jo Soo Yong!

On April 22, it was belatedly revealed through sources from the entertainment and IT industries that the couple tied the knot in March. A source from Kakao confirmed, “CEO Jo Soo Yong and Park Ji Yoon held their wedding last month with blessings from their families.” The wedding was reportedly a quiet, private ceremony with only family, friends, and close acquaintances in attendance.

The two met and became close after they worked and appeared together on “B Cast,” a podcast hosted by Magazine B, a monthly documentary magazine distributed by Jo Soo Yong’s company. Through his appearances, Jo Soo Yong has touched upon many topics such as design, marketing, creative directing, and more. They discovered their similar interests in design, art, music, and film and dated for two years before getting married.

Previously, they were swept up in dating rumors in May of 2017. At the time, a source from Park Ji Yoon’s agency denied the reports, saying, “It is true that they know each other through work, but they are not in a relationship.”

Park Ji Yoon made her debut as a child model for a teen magazine in 1993 and soon became known for modeling in commercials. She promoted as a child actress for SBS’s “Dinosaur Teacher” in 1994 and made her debut as a singer with “Skyblue Dream” in 1997. Since then, she has been active as a singer-songwriter, actress, and photographer.

Jo Soo Yong is a design and marketing professional and became known for designing the green main search window for Naver, one of the largest search engines used in South Korea. After graduating from Seoul National University with a Master’s in Industrial Design, he worked for search engine Freechel before starting work with Naver in 2003. He also started his own brand design consulting company JOH in 2010, which is the company behind Magazine B. After working in various positions in Kakao’s brand and design department, he was promoted to co-CEO alongside Yeo Min Soo in March of 2018.
