Lee Dong Wook Talks About His Decision To Host "Produce X 101"
On April 30, the press conference was held for Mnet’s “Produce X 101,” the fourth season of the popular survival program series.
Lee Dong Wook will be hosting the new season as the national producer representative. He began by stating, “Our kids are improving a lot. Please watch over them with affection.”
He continued, “I am honored and nervous to be a part of this big challenge as it is also a challenge for me. Please look forward to it.”
On why he decided to join the program, he responded, “I thought of it as taking on the same challenge with the 101 trainees. I also went through a process of preparing to become an actor, so I thought it would be good to also share that with them.”
Lee Dong Wook added, “A difference that I have from the previous representatives is that I am of the same gender [as the trainees], so I could give them more advice.”
The producing director Ahn Joon Young commented, “Please keep an eye out for how Lee Dong Wook hosts and watches the [trainees]. He is not a music expert, so his point of view is most similar with the national producers (viewers).”
“Produce X 101” is set to premiere on May 3 at 11 p.m. KST.
