TraxX Members Jay And Jungmo Share Thoughts After Departing SM Entertainment
Jay and Jungmo have shared their heartfelt thoughts on leaving TraxX and SM Entertainment.
On April 30, SM Entertainment confirmed that TraxX members Jay and Jungmo’s contracts had expired and that they would be leaving the agency after 15 years. The duo debuted in 2004 as TRAX, the agency’s first-ever rock band. They later changed their named to TraxX and added DJ and producer Ginjo as a member to expand as an EDM group.
Following news of their departure, both Jungmo and Jay shared photos on their Instagram accounts with Lee Soo Man, the head of SM Entertainment, and shared their thoughts on leaving the agency.

“Hello. This is TraxX’s Jungmo.
There are probably people who heard of the what happened through the news. But it was at the end of a lot of thought and consideration that Jay and I decided to leave SM and TraxX to promote on our own. I would like to thank Lee Soo Man and everyone at SM for supporting us in our future and telling us good things until the very end.
Promoting in a good environment, I learned a lot of things, not just about music. I believe that it was a huge nourishment for the days ahead of the rest of my life. I’d also like to apologize and thank our member Ginjo, who understood and supported our decision. And to our fans who have supported us since July 17, 2004, thank you for always giving us your unchanging love despite all of the twists and turns.
I believe that if we work hard where we are, there will definitely be a day when we can see you all with the name TraxX. To do so, I will promote even more actively. Please give a lot of support in the future as well.
I started out at SM at 18 years old and debuted at 20 years old. A lot of time has passed since then. It still doesn’t feel real that I’m leaving this place which I have so much affection for and promoting. A part of me is nervous but another part of me is excited.
I will start the second part of my life in an awesome way so that I don’t disappoint many people and so that my decision wasn’t in vain. The temperature changes are very severe these days, so please everyone be careful not to get sick. Then I’ll be off.

“I joined as a trainee in 2000, and now somehow 20 years has passed… Now that I’m actually leaving the place where I spent a lot of time and that feels like family, I’m getting mixed feelings. I’d like to sincerely thank Lee Soo Man for saying great things to us until the end. To all the people at SM who were with us for a long time, thank you so much. Finally, I sincerely thank all the fans who supported TRAX until the end and gave us strength. Jungmo, thank you for being with me under the name TRAX until the end.”
