JTBC Reports That Jang Ja Yeon's Former Manager Gave Testimony For Her Sexual Assault Case

Jang Ja Yeon’s former manager has reportedly given his testimony regarding her sexual assault case.

The April 30 broadcast of JTBC’s “Newsroom” reported new information that came to light regarding Jang Ja Yeon’s suicide. According to the reports, the prosecutorial investigation into past cases obtained a testimony from her former manager Yoo, who is currently the CEO of an entertainment agency.

Yoo was known to have helped Jang Ja Yeon write the list of names of prominent figures in the business and entertainment industries that she had been forced to sexually entertain, which she left behind after her suicide. He is also the person that first brought the existence of the list to light to the press.

In his testimony, Yoo stated, “The first list that Jang Ja Yeon wrote also had details of her being severely sexually abused, but I told her to erase that part of it. Afterwards, she took that part out and wrote it.” He added, “I cannot say who the people that sexually abused her are.”

It was reported that two weeks after his testimony, he called the investigation committee and changed part of his testimony, saying, “Jang Ja Yeon said something similar to Ha So Yeon but I didn’t ask her again.”

“Newsroom” reported that the investigation had also obtained other testimonies for the case that support Jang Ja Yeon as a victim of sexual assault.
