Park Bo Young Talks About Receiving Support From

On May 3, Park Bo Young attended a press conference for tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Abyss” along with director Yoo Jae Won and actors Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Si Eon.

During the press conference, the actress talked about the long-lasting friendship between the cast members of JTBC’s hit drama “Oh My Ghostess.”

When asked about her reunion with director Yoo Jae Won, with whom she worked together for the 2015 drama “Oh My Ghostess,” Park Bo Young said, “I am able to understand his directions quicker because this is my second time working with him. The atmosphere on set is also very good because there are many staff members whom I’ve worked together with before.”

The actress continued, “My expectations were high for being able to work together with [director Yoo Jae Won] again. I was happy to do so, and I think we are doing well enough that it is exceeding my expectations.”

Park Bo Young also added that a group chatroom with the “Oh My Ghostess” team still exists. She explained, “The group chatroom for ‘Oh My Ghostess’ is still very active. People were talking [in the chatroom] until very recently. When I told them I would be working with director Yoo Jae Won again, everyone including Jo Jung Suk showed their support.”

“Abyss” is a fantasy drama about two childhood friends who are murdered then brought back to life due to the power of a magical stone called Abyss. They are reincarnated as people with completely different appearances and set out to find the people responsible for their deaths.

Park Bo Young will play Ko Se Hyun, a beautiful prosecutor who is reincarnated as the world’s most average woman. Ahn Hyo Seop will take on the role of Cha Min, a “visual terror” chaebol who was perfect in every aspect except for his unfortunate face.

“Abyss” will premiere on May 6 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
