Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Signs With New Agency
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung is now part of Saram Entertainment!
Previously, the idol-turned-actress had been in talks to sign with the agency. On May 7, Saram Entertainment announced, “Choi Sooyoung has showed stable performances through various characters, regardless of genre, including movies and dramas. She has proved infinite potential by continuing her global career based on a positive mindset and confident attitude. We will fully support her efforts to continue her activities in more diverse areas based on trust and communication.”
Sooyoung debuted in 2007 in the group Girls’ Generation. She soon launched her career as an actress by appearing in many dramas, such as “Unstoppable Marriage,” “Dating Agency: Cyrano,” “Squad 38,” and “Man Who Sets the Table.” In 2014, she won the Excellence Award in the mini-series category at the MBC Drama Awards, and in 2015, she achieved the Excellence Award in the 8th Korea Drama Awards.
Not only did Sooyoung show excellence in acting, but she also proved her skills in other entertainment fields by winning the rookie award in the MC category during the 2013 SBS Entertainment Awards.
