“Produce X 101” Requests Agencies To Conduct Additional Screening Of Trainees
Mnet’s “Produce X 101” has asked agencies to do a double check on the pasts of the trainees who are currently participating in the program.
On May 8, a source from Mnet stated, “We have taken this opportunity to request each agency to make sure that there will be no more controversies involving the trainees. The production team of ‘Produce X 101’ also promises to be more careful regarding the participants.”
This comes after the controversy involving the now former JYP trainee Yun Seo Bin. After the May 3 premiere episode of “Produce X 101,” someone claiming to have known Yun Seo Bin during his school days posted online arguing that he was well known in Gwangju for being a school bully.
Two days later, JYP Entertainment released an official statement that the agency terminated their contract with Yun Seo Bin and that he will also be leaving “Produce X 101.”
